About
ASCEND Mission Statement:
ASCEND represents a dedicated initiative under the Arizona Space Grant program aimed at involving Arizonan undergraduate students in comprehensive experiential learning pertaining to the conception, construction, deployment, management, and evaluation of a complete space mission. Each student team within the program is tasked with devising a payload capable of capturing and analyzing diverse atmospheric parameters associated with altitude. Incorporated within these payloads are camera systems tasked with documenting the entirety of the mission, including the ascent and the near-space environment. This immersive, hands-on endeavor in payload design equips students with invaluable skills in conducting scientific measurements at the threshold of space exploration.
