What is the NASA ASCEND Program?
The NASA ASCEND internship program is a high-altitude ballooning project funded by the Arizona Space Grant. It provides a unique opportunity for undergraduate STEM students to apply their skills and prepare for success in their future endeavors.
Over 8 different colleges and universities participate each semester, with each college having their own designated payload built by students like you!
ASCEND strives to give our STEM students opportunities to work on hands-on, real-world, NASA-related science & engineering projects in a team orientation. Students get a chance to apply what they learn from their various classes toward the project. We launch real scientific and engineering packages into Earth's upper atmosphere.
