The mission of the Maria Regina Library and Information Center’s program is to provide quality learning experiences designed to equip students with skills to adapt and thrive in a changing global environment. The library extends and enhances the classroom experience: a place where students, teachers, and librarians can explore, learn, create, and collaborate. Librarians foster a love of reading and learning in addition to modeling and utilizing current technologies to assist students in becoming proficient and responsible users of information.
The vision of the Maria Regina High School Library and Information Center’s program is to empower students to learn technology and 21st-century skills incorporating collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, and citizenship.
The Maria Regina High School Information Center serves as a place to borrow books, catch up on homework, and access curriculum-centered print and web-based resources. Renovated in 2015, the Information Center has been equipped with Internet-networked PCs, Microsoft Office Suite access, books, magazines, and e-resources that are continually updated throughout the year. Keeping in mind different learning styles and curriculum practices, the Information Center has been designed around individual study, classroom engagement, and student collaboration. Students, faculty, and staff utilize the ample workspace before, during, and after the school day.
