PSAT
Sophomores and Juniors
The purpose of the PSAT is to prepare our students for the SAT. The SAT will be administered to the students in the Fall of each academic year. The test covers three major areas: Reading, Writing & Language, and Math. By taking this test , sophomore and junior students will not only be familiarized with the testing experience but provided with a preview into the type of content they will see on the SAT . After scores are processed students will receive very detailed results via their CollegeBoard accounts that indicate areas of strengths but also reveals concepts and topics that should be a focus of improvement for each student.
The purpose of the SAT is to measure what our students learned in high school and what they will need to succeed in a post- secondary learning environment. In the new SAT , students will be asked questions that assess their skills pertaining to the subjects tested in the PSAT ( Reading, Math, Writing and Language) The fee for this test will be $55. The ACT test assesses four areas of a student's knowledge base ( Reading, Math, English, and Science). This test also includes an optional essay. The fee for the ACT test is $60 without essay component and $85.00 with the essay. Fee waivers are available for students who meet eligibility requirements. Military Bound Students
The ASVAB test serves as a career exploration tool for students. By assessing and measuring a student's skills with potential careers. If students aspire to enlist in the military post-graduation, they should reach out to us to be connected with a local recruiter. Once connected with the recruiter, students can schedule to take the ASVAB.
