710 Music Appreciation
(.25 Cr.) Grade 9
Beginning with basic fundamentals, this class is designed to allow students to develop the necessary skill to listen carefully, identify the building blocks of all music, and understand how music is related to human culture today. Basic notation, instrument families, various music styles and genres, Western and non-Western music, and time periods of music will be discussed.
All freshmen are required to take this course
