Santos resigns from DPL

03/20/25 - NMI Governor Arnold Palacios said, "We wish her the best in all her future endeavors” when asked for comment about the resignation of CNMI Department of Public Lands Secretary Teresita A. Santos.

He told Marianas Press on Wednesday that he has not made a final decision about who he will appoint next.

In a March 14 letter to Gov. Palacios and Lt. Gov. David Apatang obtained by MP, Santos officially tendered her resignation effective April 11, 2025. She said the decision came after “serious thought and consideration.”

Santos will be on leave from March 20, 2025, to April 11, 2025, for personal matters.

She concluded, “I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude….for the opportunity to work under your administration.”

Santos has not responded to MP’s requests for comment.
