Saipan Mayor seeks public's help after tires on trailers are slashed

03/06/25 - Tires on five garbage trailers belonging to the Saipan Mayor’s Office were slashed on Wednesday.

CNMI police and the mayor’s office are seeking the public’s help in finding those responsible.

In a press release, the Saipan Mayor’s Office said, “These trailers are a vital asset to the Mayor's Office being utilized in many operations such as village cleanups as well as providing support to family funerals and rosaries. The damage to equipment and vehicles of the Saipan Mayor's Office not only affects the capacity of our operations but most critically the ability to carry out our cleanups and to properly serve the people.”

The mayor’s office said they are repairing the equipment so they can continue serving the community. (MP)
