Raiukiulipiy, Manglona recognized for providing critical cargo services 

12/15/24 - The Rota Legislative Delegation recently recognized Cecilio Raiukiulipiy and Lorraine Manglona for contributing to the betterment of the Rota community.

Rep. Julie Ogo and the delegation presented a commemorative resolution for “their commitment to providing critical cargo transportation services has been vital to the residents of Rota, ensuring the timely delivery of essential goods and supplies.”

The recognition comes amid longterm inter-island travel issues and the growing cost of living in the islands. Raiukiulipiy told Marianas Press that they started the efforts two decades ago and have not stopped offering help since then.

“Hopefully the young generation can step up and do something. It is about helping each other and small things will grow to bigger things…We have to help each other,” he said.
