03/26/25 - The first official passenger flight for Micronesian Air Connection Services will take off in April.
Marianas Press learned that the first routes would be from Saipan to Tinian and Saipan to Rota. A specific date was not provided, and ticket prices have yet to be announced, but they are expected to be competitive in the current industry.
MACS has two planes on Saipan with a capacity for 9 passengers. Two more planes are on the way that can accommodate 7 people.
MACS still needs to secure a hangar in Guam for that route to open up.
According to MACS’ website, the new interisland airline will provide charter flights, scheduled flights, and cargo services.
MACS, owned by John and Paula Stewart under J&P Holdings, received a 100% tax abatement for 22 years from the Commonwealth Economic Development Authority.
