Jeju Air’s Busan to Saipan route will end on January 17, 2025, after a spike in cancellations following the catastrophic airplane crash that killed 179 people in South Korea in December.
A local source familiar with the matter said Jeju Air’s twice-daily flights from Incheon will continue.
The Busan-Saipan route started in December and was twice weekly. The flight, with a capacity for nearly 200 passengers, was originally scheduled to end on February 25. The recent tragedy caused the route to close earlier.
National media reported today that Jeju Air plans to cut 188 international routes from Busan.
This is a developing story.
