Hundreds on waitlist for homes to be rebuilt after typhoons

12/10/2024 - Northern Marianas Housing Corporation’s corporate director Zenie P. Mafnas discusses her priorities after she was appointed to the role in August.

Mafnas also addresses concerns about long waitlists for disaster recovery efforts and rental assistance.

She said that 107 homes have been built so far under the Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery. 200 more homes are going to be built or rehabilitated in the next two years. However, nearly 300 remain on the waitlist.
