Estrellita S. Ada appointed new CPA executive director

04/03/25 - The Commonwealth Ports Authority has appointed Estrellita S. Ada as its new executive director effective April 14, 2025.

“Ms. Ada brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record of success... Please extend your full cooperation to Ms. Ada as she takes on this huge responsibility,” said CPA board of director chair Ramon Tebuteb in a letter addressed to CPA department heads and stakeholders today, April 2, 2025.

On behalf of the CPA board of directors, Tebuteb also extended their sincere gratitude to the acting executive director, Frederick A. Pangelinan, chief of Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting, “for holding down the fort for the past five months.”

Pangelinan took over in acting capacity from former CPA executive director Leo Tudela, who stepped down from his post last Dec. 20.

Tudela, who joined the CPA as its new executive director in November 2023, followed in the footsteps of former CPA board chair Joe Ayuyu, who also resigned a few weeks before Tudela last December.
