08/08/2025 - The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs (DCCA) – Division of Nutrition Assistance Program (NAP) is pleased to announce that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) has confirmed continued funding for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 that will allow NAP to maintain benefit levels consistent with FY 2025.
This crucial funding ensures no reductions to current benefit levels for NAP recipients throughout the CNMI. It also reflects USDA FNS’s continued recognition of the unique economic challenges faced by our islands and their commitment to supporting food security for our community.

Governor Mendiola and I are grateful to USDA for their valued support and longstanding partnership as we work together to ensure our families, especially our children, have the nourishment they need to grow, learn, and thrive," said Governor David M. Apatang. "We pledge to advocate, protect, and preserve vital public programs that our people need to alleviate the hardship they face while we work tirelessly to rebuild our economy, provide more jobs, and create better, sustainable opportunities."

As NAP moves forward with these modernization initiatives, the program remains focused on strengthening delivery and ensuring timely, equitable access to food assistance for all eligible residents.
