Kairos #20 and #21 dates:
Stay tuned!
The Kairos Retreat is a three-day opportunity for Juniors to encounter God. It is led by the Kairos Team, made up of Marian Central Catholic Seniors.
The ancient Greeks had two words for time: chronos and kairos. Chronos refers to chronological or sequential time. This type of time is important, but focuses mainly on time outside of retreats.
Kairos refers to the type of time that "in between". In other words, Kairos is a break from the obligations of regular daily life, where we can turn our undivided focus to spending time with the Lord.
The Kairos Retreat is a moment where retreatants can experience a personal encounter with God. This encounter happens through talks and small groups hosted by our Kairos Team members, through fun and fellowship, a few surprises, but most especially, through the transforming grace of Christ in the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist.
Junior year is one with many important decisions to make. The Kairos Retreat is a good opportunity to reflect on our eternal destiny, discover God's will for our lives, and say "Yes" to Him in faith. It is also an invitation to become part of the Marian Kairos family, now over 800 people strong!
