Title I provides additional instructional support in reading through small-group instruction, tutoring, and specialized programs designed to help students meet grade-level expectations. Title I also provides families with activities and resources that encourage them to become active partners in their child’s education.
Teachers, administrators, and support staff work collaboratively to identify students who may benefit from Title I services. The team reviews data from multiple screeners and assessments, including Acadience, i-Ready, and Fundations Phonics/Reading Diagnostics, to determine students’ instructional needs and appropriate support.
Students who qualify for Title I services will receive small-group instruction, in addition to core reading instruction, designed to meet their individual reading needs. Teachers will regularly monitor student progress and use this information to adjust instruction and support as needed. Students may enter or exit the Title I program based on their progress and instructional needs.
