Committee

IBC members are appointed by the Director General of MARDI and will serve a 1-to-3-year term and may be re-appointed. The members collectively have experience and expertise in living modified organism (LMO) or recombinant DNA (rDNA) research and the capability to assess the safety of research involving LMO/rDNA. The IBC in MARDI functions as a formal expert committee that provides guidance in relation to conducting research or activities involving modern biotechnology works, such as LMO/rDNA materials, conducted or sponsored at MARDI.
