This week, the children engaged in a variety of activities as part of Science Week, which centred around the theme 'Change and Adapt'. They participated in an array of exciting live lessons covering topics including engineering, farming, space, and artificial intelligence. The children thoroughly enjoyed these enriching events.
On Thursday, Year 3 received a visit from Reverend Nicky and Reverend Vicky, who conducted a question-and-answer session related to the children's learning. This opportunity allowed the pupils to pose their questions, and they found it immensely enjoyable. We extend our gratitude to both of them for taking the time to visit our school.
Today, Year 2 went to the Tower of London. Both classes had a fantastic time and were really excited to come back to school and share their experiences. I would like to say well done to both year groups for being positive representatives of our school by demonstrating excellent behaviour during their trips and visits.
Also, we would like to thank those members of our community who have kindly agreed to come in to share information about their careers with the children. We will be in touch shortly to discuss arrangements for your visits. Your support with this is greatly appreciated.
Finally, we would like to share the exciting news that today, following great effort, teamwork and superb sportsmanship, our boys football team won the Maidstone LAT football tournament. Look out for a full report and celebratory photos in next week's newsletter but I am sure you will join me in congratulating the team on their fantastic, and extremely well-deserved, achievement.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Whilst they can be a great way for friends to socialise, online games like Roblox that allow multiplayer gameplay with strangers are always fraught with a variety of dangers that can expose children to inappropriate or harmful content. Roblox enables people to play anonymously, which can often be something that attracts people to misuse the game and potentially put young people at risk of harm.
In addition to interacting with random strangers across the world, other factors such as in-game purchases and potential scams can also pose a financial risk. It’s important that parents and educators remain aware of the risks associated with this popular title and how it can be used safely. This free guide – also available in podcast format – offers parents and educators expert advice on what can be done to ensure that young people have a safe and enjoyable experience with Roblox.
