Google Classroom

At Marden Primary Academy, our homework, which we call home learning, is shared via Google Classroom. Every year group has its own home learning classroom. It's quite likely that if your child has already joined their Google Classroom, but if not, you can find the classroom codes below.

It's important to remember that in order to access the Classroom, the children need to use their school email and password. It will not work with a different email and password. If your child is in KS2, they log in every day using their email and password so they will be able to show you how to do it. If your child is in EYFS or KS1, they may need some help.

Our Home Learning

We know that family life is busy. After taking feedback from parents, we adapted how we deliver home learning. Each module, there will be a menu of activities for the children to choose from. We expect them to complete 5 tasks over the module, but it doesn't matter when they do it. The same menu will be shared in the Classroom every Friday as a reminder that there is home learning to complete.

Sharing Home Learning

The children can upload their home learning to the Classroom and submit it or they can bring their home learning in on the due in day. This is the last Wednesday of the module. The children have the opportunity to share their home learning with their teacher and their class and receive feedback and praise for their work. The children also receive a special sticker for completing their work. 

If the children have made something, e.g. a model or a piece of artwork, we keep this in school to share and display for the first week of the new module.

Teachers will not provide feedback via Google Classroom. As we are a primary school, we believe that children learn best when feedback and praise is done in person. As the children complete the work at different times, this is why we save all home learning until the due date, which this term is Wednesday 16th October.
