This week, we celebrated Mental Health Week, with this year’s focus being ‘Know Yourself, Grow Yourself.’ On Wednesday, children participated in a whole school assembly, which highlighted the importance of self-awareness and personal development. In addition, various classroom activities encouraged the children to express their emotions in a constructive manner. We have included some useful links and resources in this newsletter to help you support your child’s emotional well-being at home.
Yesterday, our football team engaged in an exciting home match against another local school. I am proud to report that the children exhibited excellent teamwork and displayed outstanding sportsmanship, serving as fantastic representatives for our school. Congratulations to everyone who took part; your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed.
Today both Oak and Juniper class had the pleasure of participating in an outdoor experience featuring a bonfire and marshmallows. We extend our gratitude to Mr Townsend for leading this event and to those parents and carers who were able to join us. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to bond and share a unique experience with their families, creating lasting memories.
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce our forthcoming Valentine's Disco. The disco will be on Thursday 13th February at 3.30pm for EYFS/KS1 and 4.45pm for KS2. Tickets for the disco can be purchased via the MCAS app. Should you require any assistance with this process, please do not hesitate to contact the school office, where our staff will be more than happy to help.
As a final reminder, please note that next week, Friday will be an INSET day for all children. Consequently, Thursday, 13th February will mark the last day of term.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
