As part of our inquiry-based learning, at the beginning of each term, we take the time to reflect on the learning from the previous time. We share this on a class Google Site that is updated every term. Please enjoy reading through our sites and finding out about all the fantastic learning your child has participated in
Last term, the children were inquiring into Where We Are in Place and Time. This unit of inquiry is an orientation in place and time; personal histories; homes and journeys; the discoveries, exploration, and migrations of humankind; the relationships between and the interconnectedness of individuals and civilizations, from local and global perspectives.an exploration into the nature of the self; beliefs and values; personal, physical, mental, social and spiritual health; human relationships including families, friends, communities, and cultures; rights and responsibilities and what it means to be human.
On each site, click on 'Where We Are in Place and Time' to explore the children's learning.
Our New Learning
Our new transdisciplinary theme is 'How We Organise Ourselves'. This is an inquiry into the interconnectedness of human-made systems and communities; the structure and function of organizations; societal decision-making; economic activities and their impact on humankind and the environment.
Below, you can see the key learning for each year group. The learning in EYFS is slightly different as the teachers use the children's interests to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding across the EYFS curriculum.
Every fortnight, there will be an learning update from each year group, sharing what the children have been learning about.
