Principal's Message

Welcome back to term 5, I hope you all had a lovely break.

Thank you to those of you who attended our open event on Wednesday after school. We hope you enjoyed the opportunity to have a look at your child's work and to find out what the children will be learning over the next few weeks. We hope you also had the chance to see the children's homework. I would like to say well done to all of the children for this, the effort they put in was fantastic!

The children started the week by reflecting on their learning from the last module. Some photos and examples of their reflections have been put together to form class reflection sites. We hope you will enjoy looking at these.

Upcoming Events

Marden Library will be starting a homework club for the children of Marden Primary Academy on Thursdays, starting from 25th April. It will run from 3:30-4:30pm.

Parents and carers need to attend with their child to support and supervise them.

We have worked with the brilliant team at the library to share the home learning menus that are now live on Google Classroom and explain how our home learning works.

The team have lots of books to help the children with their learning and we can't wait to see their fantastic work!

National Online Safety

A free online safety guide on group chats.

Occurring through messaging apps, on social media and in online games, group chats are among the most popular ways that young people engage with their peers online. Involving, by definition, three or more individuals, these groups allow users to send messages, images and videos to everyone in one place. While they are useful for helping friends, people with shared interests or members of a club to communicate and coordinate activities, they can also leave young people feeling excluded and bullied – as well as providing opportunities for inappropriate content to be shared and viewed.

In the guide, you'll find tips on a number of potential risks such as bullying, inappropriate content and unknown members.
