Happy New Year to you all!
The children have returned to school full of energy and enthusiasm, despite the very cold weather we are currently experiencing. After reflecting on their previous inquiries on Tuesday, the children have launched into their new inquiries. It was lovely to see their learning when I popped into classes yesterday. The children are so knowledgeable about the world around them.
Please take a look at the 'Reflections Sites' page of the newsletter to see what each class has learnt and how they are developing their skills through the approaches to learning (ATLs) and the learner profile attributes (LPA).
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Office Messages
You will have noticed that all home learning submitted last module has been 'returned' to you. We do this at the end of every module, once home learning has been reviewed by the class teacher and shared in the classroom.
Please do not resubmit the work. All this means is that the file has been transferred back to the owner (the child).
If we don't do this, it takes up all of the storage on the teacher's Google Drives.
The exciting inquiries that our children explore every day here at Marden, provide them with many opportunities to learn about a wide range of careers globally, as well as within their local community. We are always looking for ways to enrich these experiences, and provide them with inspiration for their futures.
We would like to invite you to become a part of this. If you have a passion, hobby, specialism or career, and you are able to volunteer some time to come into school and share this with our children, then we gratefully ask you to fill out this form and provide us with some more information, so that we can get in touch.
Please note: we are extremely grateful to everyone that volunteers their time to come into school, and we appreciate that people are very busy. Therefore, if you are not able to come into school but would like to offer something else, then please feel free to still get in touch.
JusTalk Kids is an alternative version of the JusTalk app, aimed at an audience aged 13 and under. As that upper age limit suggests, this social networking platform is intended to be suitable for youngsters, providing them with a space of their own to interact with a community their own age.
Unfortunately, there are still risks associated with JusTalk Kids, so it’s vitally important for parents and educators to understand the potential dangers for those who use the app. Our free guide delves into the most prominent online safety concerns of JusTalk Kids, while also letting you know how to ensure that children can be protected, should they wish to create an account.
