Principal's Message

We were very excited to welcome Ben and Karrianne from The Little Green Energy Company into school this week. They came in to deliver a presentation to our ECO Warrior club about solar energy. The children really enjoyed the talk and learnt a lot. The company kindly donated a solar robot to the school so that we can see solar power in action; the Eco Warriors are really looking forward seeing how it works. If you would like to learn more about solar power you can visit their website: https://www.tlgec.co.uk/ or email them at info@tlgec.co.uk

We saw some fantastic inquiry work this week. Year 6 visited Marden Church to explore the architecture and Beech class created an art exhibition to share their work with their families. The work they produced was fantastic and the confidence they had in talking about their learning was lovely to see.

We have unfortunately had lots of illness in school this week. I would like to thank you all for your support during this time. We hope that everyone will be feeling better soon and back on track ready for the last week of term.

Student Shoutouts

James E & Stanley M

After a series of trials, James and Stanley have been selected to play for the Kent Cricket District Level Under 10 Central Cavaliers. This is a fantastic achievement and we are incredibly proud of them.

Kenny D

A huge well done to Kenny, who passed his recent Grade 3 piano exam with distinction!

Ethan M and George M

Ethan and George supported the Paddock Wood and District Lions Club on Monday evening with their Annual Sleigh Run by collecting donations from Marden residents. The boys clocked up nearly 10,000 steps and helped raise lots of money for Marden Food Bank!

National Online Safety

In 2019, media titan Disney launched its own streaming platform, intending to challenge the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime. Giving (often exclusive) access to shows and movies – such as the legendary studio’s animated classics and the revered Star Wars back catalogue – Disney+ has been a colossal success, proving popular with viewers of all ages.

Despite Disney’s reputation for wholesome, child-friendly content, however, there’s far more material available on their platform – some of which is aimed exclusively at adults. This could easily fly under the radar, given the company’s general image. Our #WakeUpWednesday guide has useful tips to help your family sit back, relax and enjoy what Disney+ has to offer.
