Principal's Message
This week has been particularly enriching for our pupils, with a series of engaging workshops and events designed to enhance their learning experiences.
This week, Year 4 and Year 5 had the pleasure of welcoming Portals to the Past, who delivered a full-day workshop. Year 4 focused on the fascinating topic of the Greeks, while Year 5 explored the intriguing history of the Anglo-Saxons. The children thoroughly enjoyed the interactive sessions, which allowed them to share and expand upon their existing knowledge.
On Tuesday, Year 3 participated in a workshop conducted by Maidstone Museum, centred on the Stone Age. This visit provided the children with a unique opportunity to delve deeper into this significant period of history, fostering their curiosity and understanding of early human life.
Furthermore, yesterday, Year 1 embarked on an exciting trip to Penshurst Place, where they engaged in a toy workshop. This experience allowed them to learn about toys throughout history, aligning perfectly with their current inquiry.
Today, we had the pleasure of hosting our Mother’s Day event, a delightful occasion that brought together many families to celebrate this special day. It was lovely to witness the joy shared between parents and children as they created memorable crafts together.
This morning, we received an email and accompanying photographs from the Parish Council and Memorial Hall, highlighting instances of inappropriate parking by some parents. It has come to our attention that vehicles have been obstructing disabled and resident parking spaces, thereby preventing access for those who require it. The Parish Council and Memorial Hall have graciously permitted parents to utilise this space, and we kindly request your cooperation in ensuring responsible parking practices moving forward. Should this situation persist, we have been informed that the car park may be restricted, resulting in the loss of access for parents. Thank you for your understanding and support in this matter.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
