Principal's Message
Today, we participated in 'Hello Yellow Day' to raise awareness and funds for YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity for young people’s mental health. It was wonderful to see so many children dressed in yellow in support of this vital cause. The children engaged in mindfulness activities and discussed ways to enhance their mental health. Thank you for your generous donations; they are greatly appreciated.
We look forward to seeing you all next Tuesday and Wednesday for our Parents' Evenings. We hope this will be a good opportunity for you to speak to your child's teacher and to look at some of their work. If you have had any problems in signing up for a meeting please contact the office who will be more than happy to help you with this.
A reminder that next Friday we have our Halloween disco. If you have not already bought a ticket but would like to, you can purchase them on MCAS.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Sports Stars @ Marden
Congratulations to Luke and Emma of Magnolia Class, who successfully competed in their first U10s hockey tournament with Marden Russets Hockey Club on Sunday!
Moving from U8 to U10 is a major leap, involving bigger pitches and 7-a-side play. Both children rose to the occasion, having a brilliant time and playing really well. Fantastic work Luke and Emma!
A huge well done to Louis and Emily from Spruce Class! They were shining stars at the Marden Russets Hockey Club junior session on Sunday.
Emily scored two goals for the U6s, while Louis showed off some brilliant defending! Both earned well-deserved Star of the Week awards.
Congratulations Louis and Emily!

Half Term Activities
When children and young people experience traumatic or difficult life events, their emotional world can be shaken, and the impact may show up in their behaviour, mood, or relationships. Whether it’s bereavement, a family breakdown or witnessing something distressing, the support of trusted adults can be key in helping them feel safe again. This guide looks at how to create a nurturing environment to help young people process difficult feelings.
It also shares clear, actionable strategies to promote recovery – from building emotional literacy and creating a predictable routine to recognising signs that further help may be needed. Sensitive language, patience, and presence all play a part in empowering children to move forward at their own pace. With the right support, they can rebuild a sense of security and resilience.
