In honor of the dedication necessary to manage school and work, and in recognition of the strong work ethic set out by the company’s founders, Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Prenger, the Prenger Family Scholarship recognizes graduates with scholarships in the amount of $500.

Eligibility
Scholarships will be awarded in two categories.
Category I is for those individuals who are members in good standing of the Missouri National Guard Association.
Category II is for dependents of members in good standing of the Missouri National Guard Association. Individuals who qualify as Guard members and dependents will be considered in both categories and will be awarded only the scholarship of the higher value. The 2025 recipients of a MONGA scholarship are not eligible to apply for a 2026 scholarship. The scholarships will be awarded based on:
SCHOLARSHIP: Each applicant must meet requirements for entrance in the school of his/her choice and the applicant must have received average or above average academic achievement.
CITIZENSHIP: Each applicant must show evidence of moral force of character (truthfulness, courage, devotion to duty, unselfishness, and consideration for others). Testimonials from school officials are excellent sources for this information.
LEADERSHIP: Each applicant must demonstrate leadership in (a) Home, (b) School, (c) Religious, and (d) Community activities. In case of two applicants with similar qualifications, extra-curricular activities at school may be considered in order to make a decision. However, undue emphasis upon extra-curricular or high scholastic achievement is to be discouraged.
NEED: The need for financial assistance in order to continue with formal educational studies will be considered in cases involving students with similar outstanding qualifications in areas described above.

The Charles E. Kruse Scholarship has been established to honor this outstanding agricultural leader. Mr. Kruse, a 4th generation farmer from Stoddard County, served in leadership roles throughout his career including President of the Missouri Farm Bureau from 1992-2010. He also served as Director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture and Chief Executive Officer for the North American Equipment Dealers Association.
Kruse, a 1967 graduate of Arkansas State University, majored in agronomy. In 1973, he received his Master of Science Degree in Agronomy from the University of Missouri. He was later appointed by Governor Kit Bond to serve on the University of Missouri Board of Curators.
Kruse was honored many times throughout his career with accolades, degrees and appointments. He also had a distinguished military career during which he achieved the rank of Brigadier General. To encourage students to pursue degrees, and ultimately careers, in agriculture, the Charles E. Kruse Scholarship will provide financial support for one deserving student annually.

The Quy Nguyen Family first came to Marceline in 1975 and found a peaceful community that came to accept them. Many friends were made, and it was indeed sorrowful when her family left, but Marceline will forever be in their hearts.
Quy Nguyen, a single parent, believed that education was very important and always encouraged young people to achieve their goals in life. Quy supported and encouraged her eight children to attain a higher education. As a result, all eight children graduated from universities. Now successful in many enterprises, her family would like to give back to the community that had given so much to them in those early days.
To honor her educational philosophy, the “Quy Nguyen'' Scholarship was created in memory of her, just as Marceline will forever be intertwined with her family.

Purpose: This fund was established in memory of Joan Allison Perry by her family to provide academic scholarships to graduating seniors of Marceline High School, MO. Joan taught business at Marceline High School from 1980 to 1992. She was a favorite teacher, mentor, and friend to many of her students and continued tutoring young people long after her retirement.
She was an accomplished woman in her personal life as well, valuing faith, kindness, civility, loyalty, and fair and equal treatment of all. She was a direct and honest person; rather than argue when in disagreement with someone, she would merely say, “You know, we don’t agree on that,” and leave it there. She was an advocate for those in need and was actively involved in civic and social organizations in Marceline. She loved having fun with friends and family and enjoyed a good joke, dancing, and card playing.
Criteria: To be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following:
Students must be graduating seniors intending to pursue a degree in business or education through a two- or four-year college/university or technical school.
Consideration will be given to financial need, school and community involvement, and character traits.
Students must submit an essay (500-word maximum) describing how this award will allow them to achieve their higher education goals and what their personal values are, and how they align with those demonstrated by Joan Allison Perry.

Purpose: This fund was established to provide academic scholarships to graduating seniors of Northwest Missouri intending to pursue a degree in education at a 2 or 4-year college/university or a Vocational degree/certificate at a 2-year college or Vocational/Technical School.
Criteria: To be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following:
Scholarship 1 The students eligible shall be graduating seniors of a high school within the 18-county region of The Community Foundation intending to pursue a degree in education (elementary or secondary) through a two or four-year college and/or university. Student must be in the top 50% of their class but not in the top 10%, have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and an ACT score of 19 or higher. Consideration will be given to financial need (determined by parent’s gross income and number of children in the home) and high school attendance record for Junior and Senior years.
Scholarship 2 The students eligible shall be graduating seniors of a high school within the 18-county region of The Community Foundation intending to pursue a certificate/degree through an accredited two-year college or Vocational/Technical School. Students must be in the top 50% of their class but not in the top 10% and must have a minimum GPA of 2.0. Consideration will be given to financial need (determined by parents’ gross income and number of children in the home) and high school attendance record for Junior and Senior years.
Students must submit a reference letter from a school staff or community member.
Guidelines: One recipient will be chosen for each scholarship. Scholarship 1 is awarded on an annual basis and is renewable for up to 4 years with disbursements in August and January. Scholarship 2 is awarded on an annual basis and is renewable for up to 2 years if needed. Alternates may be chosen to receive an award of $2,000 ($1,000 per semester) for up to 4 years on scholarship 1 and 2 years on scholarship 2. If the chosen recipient withdraws from school or does not meet requirements, the alternate will assume the remaining scholarship amount. Additional “extra” recipients may be chosen to receive a one-time award of $2,000 payable in the Fall for 1 year with an option to reapply.

Criteria: To be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following:
The students eligible for assistance shall be intending to pursue a degree in a construction-related field at a two- or four-year college and/or technical school. This includes construction, project management, engineering, architecture, manufacturing technology, industrial technology, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, welding, heating ventilation air conditioning (HVACR), or building trades.
Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Consideration will be given to financial need and the student’s participation in school and community activities.

At Chariton Valley, their commitment to rural communities is at the heart of everything they do. They believe in fostering meaningful connections, empowering ambitious students, and upholding the values of integrity and service. Each year, they are proud to offer five local scholarships of $500 each to high school seniors, alongside the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) National Scholarship opportunity.
Applications for the 2026 scholarships are now open. To be eligible for their local scholarships, applicants’ parents or guardians must be Chariton Valley phone, internet, or cable customers. Students whose parents are Chariton Valley employees may apply for the FRS National Scholarship, but are not eligible for the local scholarships.

The Missouri State Fair Foundation Youth in Agriculture Committee administers the scholarships financially and is responsible for selecting the winners.
Monies raised from:
The commission levied against all livestock sold in the Sale of Champions
The auction of a commemorative belt buckle
Donations made to Youth in Agriculture
will be used for Missouri State Fair Youth in Agriculture Scholarships.
Individuals must have participated in the Missouri State Fair as a youth exhibitor in the FFA or 4-H divisions (Livestock and/or Building).
Individuals must be high school seniors at the time of application and active 4-H or FFA members when the scholarship is awarded.
Active membership is based on the national constitution guidelines for FFA and state guidelines for 4-H.
Selected students must enroll in an accredited community college, technical/trade school, college, or university during the fall and/or spring semester immediately following high school graduation.
If a selected student declines a scholarship, the Youth in Agriculture Committee must be notified by October 1, 2026. All recipients (including alternates) will then move up in rank.
Applicants must have a high school counselor complete the section and sign for their ACT/SAT score and GPA (super scores accepted).
Do not include unrequested documents (e.g., résumé, school transcript, etc.).
To receive scholarship funds, recipients must submit proof of enrollment prior to January 15, 2027.
Applications must be submitted to the Missouri State Fair and postmarked by January 15, 2026.

Six $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to seniors from our local area high schools that best meet the scholarship requirements.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Senior at one of the following local area High Schools: Cairo, Higbee, Huntsville, Keytesville, Macon, Madison, Marceline, Moberly, Salisbury, Bevier, South Shelby, or the Vocational Career Centers in Moberly, Macon, and Brookfield.
2. GPA of 2.5 or higher
3. High school program and course of study preparing for technical occupation (Note: Stronger consideration will be given to students specializing in technical skills applicable to power plant operations, including but not limited to electronics, electricity, technology, heavy equipment operator, mechanic, machinist, welding.)
4. Financial need – as determined by cost of school and ability to pay
5. Involvement in community and school organizations
6. Work experience (paid or volunteer)

This will be the twenty-eighth year the scholarship campaign is conducted in Missouri. The goal of this scholarship program is to not only inform our youth that it is not permissible in Missouri for persons under the age of 21 to gamble in a casino, but to also educate them about the dangers and consequences associated with underage gambling.
The Project 21 Underage Gaming Task Force was established by Harrah’s Entertainment in 1989 to address the issue of underage gambling. We strongly believe in the continuation of education and awareness programs such as Project 21 as effective tools in deterring underage gambling.
Project 21 2026 Scholarship Program provides students an opportunity to disseminate their message by writing an article or creating a poster or video addressing the issue of underage gambling. Project 21 Scholarships will be awarded for 2026 as follows: One $2,500.00 First Prize, and Three $1,500.00 Second Prizes.

The Elks National Foundation is not responsible for any technical errors that may arise as you complete and submit your application. We especially encourage you to upload required documents early, even if you aren't ready to submit your application. In addition, it is in your best interest to submit your application early to avoid any last minute web traffic problems. If your application is received after the contest deadline, it will be ineligible, regardless of the reason for late submission.

Who is Eligible?
For the 2026 contest, any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the Order on or before April 1, 2023, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2023, is eligible to apply. The Elk must have paid Lodge dues for the last two contiguous years through March 31, 2026. Great-grandchildren are not eligible.
The applicant must be a high school senior.
The applicant must apply online only. The 2026 Legacy Awards application deadline is February 2, 2026, 11:59 a.m. Pacific Time. NOTE: This is NOON, mid-day, Pacific time.
If the applicant's parent and grandparent are both Elk members, the applicant must select the parent's Elks Lodge on the application.
We have waived the standardized test requirement for the 2026 Legacy contest. You do not need to submit ACT and/or SAT scores.
Students may apply for more than one ENF scholarship; however, they may win only one. In cases where the student wins more than one, we will award the scholarship with the greater value. Students can accept local and state scholarships, which are separate from the awards at the national level.
Legacy Awards may only be applied to accredited US American schools, colleges or universities. (Note: Applicants from Panama, Puerto Rico and the Philippines may apply Legacy Awards toward schools, colleges or universities in their respective homes.)
If you are selected as a 2026 Legacy Awards recipient, to further strengthen your connection to the #ElksFamily, you must complete an act of service with a Lodge at least three times during your collegiate career. Click here for more information about serving with the Elks.
How Do I Apply, and What Are the Deadlines?
Eligible students should apply in the following manner:
The student must complete and submit the ONLINE application. The 2026 Legacy Awards application opens on September 1, 2025, and the deadline is February 2, 2026, at 11:59 a.m. Pacific Time.
The Elk sponsor’s membership will be verified through the BPOE Grand Lodge headquarters.
When a student registers to complete the online application, both the applicant and Lodge Secretary will be notified by email.

Upon receipt of the application, the applicant will receive a notification that the application was received. Winners will be announced in late April 2026.
Note: Because the contest begins in one Lodge year and the winners are announced in the next, a Legacy Award could go to the child or grandchild of a lapsed member. An applicant's Elk parent or grandparent must be a paid-up member in good standing at the time of application, but if the Elk chooses not to renew membership, that decision will not affect the outcome of the Legacy Awards contest.

The Scholarship Program is open to students who have a high school graduation date of 2026, as of December 4, 2023 and who meet all eligibility requirements stated below. The Scholarship Program encourages such eligible students to complete six (6) key career and college planning steps during their sophomore, junior and senior years of high school.
Scholarship funds will be in the form of a check made payable to a Title IV eligible institution (“Institution”) indicated by students selected to receive scholarship funds (“Winners”).
By completing each of the six career and college planning steps, Eligible students earn entries into scholarship drawings. Listed below are the six tasks:
Task 1. Start Your Career List: Get started by saving three (3) or more careers on your career list on BigFuture (bigfuture.collegeboard.org). You must be logged in to BigFuture using your College Board account.
Task 2. Start Your College List: Explore colleges that you are interested in and build and save a college list on BigFuture (bigfuture.collegeboard.org) with at least three (3) schools. You must be logged in to BigFuture using your College Board account.
Task 3. Start Your Scholarship List: Explore scholarships and save three (3) or more on your scholarship list on BigFuture (bigfuture.collegeboard.org). You must be logged in to BigFuture using your College Board account.
Task 4. Strengthen Your College List: Create or edit a college list on BigFuture (bigfuture.collegeboard.org) so that it has a minimum of one (1) “Safety,” two (2) “Match,” and three (3) “Reach” colleges, each category as defined by the definition provided on BigFuture. You must be logged in to BigFuture using your College Board account and you must save your college list.
Task 5. Complete the FAFSA: With your parent or legal guardian, fill out and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (“FAFSA”) form, available at www.studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa, to apply for financial aid. If you are not a citizen or do not meet the residency requirements and are thus legally ineligible to complete the FAFSA, you can still earn an entry by completing your state’s financial aid form, if available. If your state does not offer a state financial aid form or if you are also legally ineligible to complete your state’s financial aid form, by so attesting, you may still earn an entry for this step. From your BigFuture dashboard, check the appropriate boxes to indicate that you’ve completed the FAFSA, your state’s financial aid form or if you are legally ineligible to complete those forms. If you earn your entry by submitting the FAFSA or your state’s financial aid form and you are selected for one of these scholarships, you will be required to provide documentation of your submission. If instead you earned your entry because you are legally ineligible to complete both the FAFSA and your state’s financial aid form or you are legally ineligible to complete the FAFSA and your state does not offer a state financial aid form and you are selected for one of these scholarships, you will not be required to take any further action.
Task 6. Apply to Colleges: Apply to at least two (2) colleges and update your status to Applied, Accepted, Waitlisted, or Denied for these schools on your college list on BigFuture (bigfuture.collegeboard.org). Or, from your BigFuture dashboard enter the names of the colleges that you’ve applied to (colleges must be listed on the BigFuture site). If you applied binding Early Decision to a college, you may still earn an entry for this step by indicating that you applied binding Early Decision. You will be required to provide proof of your college applications if you are selected for one of these scholarships.

Select the Estimate Eligibility link in the menu at the top of the page.

You must upload documentation that you meet one of the need criteria as listed above in the “Am I Eligible” section. The Elks National Foundation awards 500 four-year scholarships based on academics, leadership, and financial need. National awards range from $1,000 per year to $12,500 per year. MVS scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours) at a U.S. college or university next school year. Eligibility Requirements
1. Must attend a high school located in the United States.
2. All high school students eligible regardless of nationality.
3. Must be fluent in the English language.
4. Must be in the high school graduating class.
5. Must have achieved an unweighted 3.50 CGPA based on a 4.0 Grading Scale.
6. Must enroll in an eligible four-year College or University the first fall semester following high school graduation.
7. The scholarship cannot be used to attend a community college, junior college, or online institution.
8. Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule, or complete the equivalent of a four year degree if in a professional program.
9. Must work 240 hours from January 1, 2026 until September 1, 2026. Work must be regularly scheduled employment performed under supervision for compensation. Employment can be full-time or part-time.
10. Applicant’s Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2024 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $100,000. “Household Income” is defined as the total income received by all adult members of a household living under the same roof.
11. Applicants are not required to provide FAFSA information. Finalists must provide the FAFSA Summary showing the SAI.
12. Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible.
