Latest 2022 Tech Tools to try out!

Graphic Novels

  • Pixton - Students can create characters and pre-designed settings to create their own comic strips/graphic novels.

  • Storyboard That - Another tool students can use to create comics and graphic novels.

Video Projects

  • Flipgrid - Students can create short videos demonstrating their knowledge. This can be used as an assessment because you can actually assess and comment on each student’s video.

  • My Simpleshow - Students can create short videos using Simple Show graphics demonstrating their knowledge or it can be used in many other ways.

Poster Projects

  • Piktocharts - This can be used to create posters and slide shows. Visuals are colorful and there are many options for fonts, images, etc...

  • Google Slides - It makes sense for our students to use this because we are a Google school. It’s another way for students to show their knowledge in a slideshow format.

Collaboration Tools

  • Google Docs (or Google Drive) - Teachers and students can work collaboratively on projects and assignments.

  • LiveBinder - Teachers can use this to organize all their documents, videos, and images for a curriculum unit. It can be shared with other colleagues.

  • Padlet - This is a great option to use with students, especially students who do not always want to raise their hands and participate. All students can share responses and ideas on this online bulletin board without raising their hands.

Visualization Tools

  • BookCreator - There are so many options for using this! Students can create nonfiction books or poetry. The possibilities are endless.

  • Canva - This can be used as another type of slideshow with many options for designing a creative visual.

Assisted Technology

  • Learning Ally - Audio books for students with learning disabilities and attention issues are available.

  • SeeingAI - This is an important tool for students with visual impairments.
