Students visit the library every week with their class. While in the library students learn to locate materials, use digital and print resources effectively, develop digital literacy, and enjoy great books.
The library is a place to think, create, share, and grow. Students are encouraged to embrace curiosity and develop responsibility, while deepening their understanding of the world around them.
The gift book program is an invitation for parents, staff, and community members to donate money to the library for the purchase of a new hardcover book. A bookplate is added to the front of the book noting the event being commemerated.
In addition to birthday remembrances, there are many other occasions to consider adding a new book to the library. Many books have been added to the collection in appreciation of a special staff member, in memory of a beloved family member or pet, or in honor of a community member.
The purpose of the library collection is to support and enhance the curriculum and to foster a love of reading. Your donations allow me to build a collection which is superior in scope and depth. It is my desire to tempt our fledgling readers with an array of irresistible choices. Thank you for allowing me to do that with your support of this gift book program.
