What Is It?
Curriculum Support is a scheduled class during the day designed to provide support and guidance to students. During this time teachers and tutors aid students in their individual areas of need. These areas could include: organizational skills, study skills, writing skills, reading skills or support with content specific tasks. This block will also be used for developing skills in self advocacy, emotional regulation, and when appropriate for post secondary planning. Curriculum support could also be used for students to meet with other in school service providers.
Expectations for Curriculum Support
1. Be respectful of everything and everyone
2. Be considerate of others by using appropriate languages, responses, and behavior
3. Be on time and prepared
4. Be productive and participatory
5. Be proactive! Use strategies, communicate, ask clarifying questions, etc. when you encounter a difficulty
