You don’t need to know coding or have computer science experience to be successful in AP Computer Science Principles (AP CSP).
There is no summer assignment.
The course covers many topics including the Internet, Digital Information, Big Data, Cybersecurity, programming and the global impacts of computing.
The AP Computer Science Principles Exam is composed of one “through-course” assessment and one end-of-course exam consisting of 70 multiple choice questions. The Create Task (30%) requires you to create a digital program or mobile app of your choice. The multiple choice exam is worth 70%.
Collaboration is a big part of this course. Throughout the year, you explore how technology impacts everything in your life and you will work with classmates in fun and creative ways.
