Sociology
Introduction to Sociology is offered as a Dual Credit class from NorthCentral Technical College. Like an AP class you can earn college credit however there is no test you have to pay for or take in order to earn the credit. This course introduces students to the basic concepts of sociology: culture, socialization, social stratification, multiculturalism, and the five institutions, including family, government, economics, religion, and education. Other topics include demography, deviance, technology, environment, social issues, social change, social organization, and workplace issues.
