Parent Portal Information:

Parent Portal is a tool to help track how children are progressing in school. These grades are not final. Only those grades recorded on the report card and transcript are final. Thus if you see a dot or an MI and your child is certain they handed that assignment in recently, please be patient as those scores are recorded. 

Using Parent Portal 

Parents should use the lesson plans posted on the school web page in conjunction with the Parent Portal. These plans post the week's upcoming lessons in each class. This is a great way to know ahead of time about tests, quizzes and projects. It also gives you a heads up on class topics and concepts covered that week. This way at the end of the day you can ask your student about what they have learned at school as you already have an idea of what was covered. 

Key for Special Symbols in Parent Portal

-A zero with a star by it means the assignment is too late to be made up for any credit.

-If there is an MI, the assignment is not in (or MIssing), but it/they can be turned in for full credit (if absent) or partial credit. 

-If there is a dot following an assignment title, that means the grade simply hasn't been entered or a quiz or test needs to be taken.

-If there is an X, that means the assignment will not be calculated into the grade.  

-If there is a P, that means the assignment has definitely been handed in but not yet graded.
