Assessments
Students will have a weekly reading assignment and vocabulary assessment (8- 12 words every week). Tests will be usually be every six days. **Subject to change****
There will be no spelling test. Instead, students will be assessed through their writing and phonics work through Fundations.
Students' math skills will be assessed by using the personal math trainer (PMT) assignments and chapter tests. Math assessments will be given in the middle and end of each chapter.
Homework/ INdependent work
-Reading: Students should try to read 10 minutes or more every night. Listen for fluency and ask them questions to improve comprehension. Very IMPORTANT! Do not skip!
-Math: If not completed in class, students will usually have 1 page (from textbook) or a digital Personal Math Trainer (PMT) or reteach/enrich assignments . Student should still bring work home completed work to inform/ discuss with an adult.
-Self Assigned Work: Projects will be due at the end of each month. (September 29)
-Accountability- Work not finished in class may be sent home.
