Good morning, I'm missing your smiling faces coming through my classroom door. I hope everyone was successful with yesterday's assignments.
Both classes will work on Spelling and Wonders Today.
Spelling pages 109-113 can be worked on throughout the week and completed by Friday.
Wonders assignment - read pages 136-143 Its a Folktale that focuses on theme and personification. Remember to Login to Connected like we did in class and click on the launch button. Go to Work to do and click on resources . Once in Resources click on ReaderWriter's Workshop book. Read the Folktale The Magical Lost Brocade starts on page 136 and read over information pages on theme and personification.
After you read the story click on Your Turn in your resources. Complete the chart on page 82 that focuses on theme as it relates to The Magical Lost Brocade and 87 that focuses on personification ( you can complete it on a plain piece of paper.
Memorize and practice Revolution Plays (fun ! fun!)

IXL - I want you to work on specific skills this time so please complete the following sections if you have not already.
Reading Strategies B 1, Vocabulary V 1 and 2 , Grammar HH 1 and 2
SS Complete workbook pages 74 and 76 (My homeroom if you have not done workbook pg 73. please complete that as well)
Understanding the Declaration of Independence - in the back of your SS textbook go to section R26, R27, and R28. The original wording of The Declaration of Independence is presented but along the sides of the pages is an explanation that makes understanding the document easier. Read through each page and create a document in google that bullets in your own words reasons why the colonist wanted to govern themselves and be free from Britain rule.
Bullet at least 5 different reasons . Create a google document (just like when we do our writing) but be sure to share it with me so that I can see it and grade it.
Please keep all other work that has been assigned so far organized and available for our return to school.

Good morning everyone! I hope you are keeping up with your work. I only received a handful of google docs on Understanding the Constitution. At this time its important that you complete these assignments daily. I will be grading anything that is assigned on google docs.
All other work will be collected and graded when we return.
Continue to work on your spelling for this week.
Now that we have finished our chapter on the war. Complete the below project in google docs. You should use your textbook for the events, and your book and internet for your biography . This assignment will be due by Friday afternoon.
