Audition Prep, Auditions & Callbacks:
Audition Prep
Audition prep is not mandatory to attend, but it is a great way to learn more about our show, meet the directors, ask questions, and learn the audition materials.
Monday, December 22nd, 2pm-2:50 In The Auditorium
Auditions
Students sign up for one audition day
Tuesday, January 6th: 2pm-4pm
Wednesday, January 7th: 2pm-4pm
Callbacks
Not all students who audition will be called back. Students required to attend callbacks will be notified in the audition google classroom on the evening of Wednesday January 8th
Thursday, January 8th: 2pm-4pm
Cast List Posted
Friday, January 9th: 1pm
Note: We will be capping the cast at 60 students. If more than 60 students audition, we will cast based on the strongest auditions.
Interested in working on crew? More information will be available after winter break!
Audition Materials:
After audition prep, audition songs and lyrics will be available for students to practice with over winter break. More information on audition materials will be available after audition prep.
Rehearsals
Not all students are called to all rehearsals. Monthly rehearsal calendars will be shared with enough notice so that students and families can plan their schedules accordingly.
Rehearsals will run:
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday Afternoons from 2pm-3:30pm
Beginning Monday, January 12th
Tech Week
Tech week rehearsals are mandatory for all students involved.
Monday, April 6th: 2pm-5pm
Tuesday, April 7th: 2pm-5pm
Wednesday, April 8th: 2pm-5pm
Performances
Performances are mandatory for all students involved
Thursday, April 9th, 7pm
Friday, April 10th, 7pm
If You Are Cast:
The time commitment to being in QMS Drama's musical is moderate to heavy. If you are cast in a leading role, expect that you will be in rehearsals 2-3 afternoons a week. If cast in an ensemble roll, expect that you will be rehearsing 1-2 afternoons a week. Some weeks will be lighter than others.
Tech week rehearsals and both shows are mandatory for all cast and crew members.
