Mrs. Tellefsen:
After starting a career in marketing and sales, I followed my heart and became a teacher. Now entering my 25th year, it is a journey I have never regretted. I spent 2 years teaching basic skills in North Jersey, prior to coming to Mansfield, during Mansfield Township Elementary School's opening year-23 years ago. Over the last 23 years I have taught second, third, and fourth grade. In addition to my teaching certifications, I hold my administrative and supervisory certifications. I also serve on various school committees, and am an advocate for individual student needs and learning. I teach in various ways, believe learning should be fun, and have big expectations for all of my students.
I live locally with my husband, three children, and our dog, who keep me very busy with their various sports and social calendars. I love to travel and create memories with my family and friends.

Mrs. Bruno:
I am excited to start my 13th year teaching Special Education and second year here at MTES! My passion for working with individuals with special needs began when I was just 13 years old as a camp counselor. Over the years, I worked my way up to becoming a camp director, and those experiences helped shape my path toward a career in special education.
I earned a dual degree in Elementary Education and Psychology with a minor in Special Education, followed by a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Throughout my career, I have taught students in grades K-6 in a variety of settings, including out-of-district placements specializing in behavior management, autism programs, pull-out resource classrooms, Emotional Regulation Impairment Programs, Multiple Disabilities classrooms, and now inclusion.
I strongly believe that every child deserves the individualized support and services they need to be successful both academically and socially. I also believe that a strong partnership and open communication between home and school are essential to helping students thrive.
Outside of school, I live in a nearby town with my husband and our dog, Hank. I love traveling, sports, music, cooking, spending time with our family and friends, and living down the shore in the summers!
