My name is Miss Samuelsen, and I am beyond excited to be teaching 7th grade at Mansfield Middle School this year! I've wanted to be some sort of teacher since I was a freshman in high school, though my interests have shifted some regarding what subjects and ages I wanted to teach. I grew up just outside of Syracuse, New York, with the idea that the UConn area could never be any place but an area for a rivalry, but I've spent the last 5 years at the University of Connecticut and fallen in love.

Outside of the classroom, I am heavily involved in the backstage side of theatre, I travel constantly, I love animals with all my heart, have had the world's best summer camp job, and spend all of my free time telling stories with my friends (which is the adult way of saying I play a lot of Dungeons and Dragons!). These interests are all over the place so I figured the best way to introduce them all was to create a collage of images showing me in action! Enjoy!
