Weeks of: March 9-March 13
Language: Students will continue to use nouns, verbs, adjectives, pronouns and adverbs. Students will be asked to identify in sentences, use in sentences verbally as well as written sentences. Students will continue to work on using conjuctions in sentences.
Spelling this week- focuses on spelling rule of /n/.
Amplify: Unit 7: What is in our Universe?
In this unit, students will be reading about the sun, the eight planets, our moon, and other objects in space. Students will also be reading about important figures in the history of space exploration.
Math: Standard: Clocks
Level 1: read and write time to the nearest minute
Level 2: read and write time to the nearest 5 minute
Level 3: solve word problems involving time
Writing: Students will be doing an independent write on opinion writing to show what they have learned.
Science: Students for the next couple of weeks will be working on their planet brochures in class that will go along with their planet models they are making at home.
