Weeks of: April 20 - April 24
Language: Students will continue to use nouns, verbs, adjectives, pronouns and adverbs. Students will be asked to identify in sentences, use in sentences verbally as well as written sentences. Students will continue to work on using conjuctions in sentences. Students will be beginning possesive pronouns this week.
Spelling this week- thought, between, Indians, through, enough (some are redoing this week)
Amplify: Unit 9: Early Exploration
This is a background knowledge week- we are looking into just background knowledge of explorers before we start our next unit after vacation.
Math: Standard: Volume/Mass
Level 1: identify tools used for volume and mass
Level 2: estimate volume and mass
Level 3: answer word problems that involve volume and mass
Writing: We are starting our narrative writing unit. Students will be reviewing creating and using an organizer CSPACE. This organizer will help them write out what they want to include in their narrative. Students will use this organizer and write out a 3-4 paragraph narrative that uses descriptive words and emotions.
Science: Reviewing force and motion with areas that needed to be looked at again
