English I Pre-AP emphasizes critical analytical skills in preparation for AP curriculum and exams and post-secondary education. Students will practice all forms of writing and are expected to plan, draft, and complete written compositions on a regular basis. Students will read extensively in multiple genres from world literature such as selected short stories, dramas, novels, poetry, and mythologies originally written in English or translated to English from multiple cultures.
