Ms. Groth has been working with East side schools since 2013. She is passionate about this community and helping her scholars be successful both in and out of the classroom. She graduated from TxState with a BA in Psychology and UTTyler with her MA in School Counseling. Prior to becoming a counselor, Ms. Groth worked as the Campus Transition Coordinator and several years as a Special Education teacher.

Ms. Groth believes in the DMS mission and supporting our students to become the most successful version of themselves.

Mrs. Waldon has been in education since 2008. Helping scholars become the best version of themselves is her ultimate goal. From coaching to counseling she will get the job done. She graduated from Prairie View A&M with a BS in Criminal Justice and MA in Counseling.

Mrs. Waldon believes planting positive seeds within our students now, will flourish in their lives as they blossom into successful adults.

This will be my second year at DMS! I am super excited to continue working alongside our teachers and administration to provide support to our scholars. I help support students, parents, teachers, and our administration staff identify and eliminate barriers for our scholars. Whether it is social, emotional, academic, or a basic needs support I am glad to help.

I graduated from Texas State University with a Family and Child Development degree. I love being outdoors with my dogs, true crime podcasts, and iced coffee!

This is going to be my first year at DMS and I am looking forward to a great school year. I have served at risk youth for some years now and enjoy working with kiddos who come from tough places.

I believe that today's youth have many resources to succeed in life. Sometimes all they need is a little guidance, patience and love to help them navigate to their full potential. My goal is to challenge our youth to the highest degree while supporting them alongside the journey.

A little about myself, I was born and raised in Chicago, IL. GO BEARS! Watch sports, workout, spend time with family, puppy (Xena) and visit new food places. I am glad to be apart such a supportive team that cares about their community.
