Hello! My name is Janet Ward, and I am the guidance counselor at Blake Manor Elementary School.

2020-21 will be my 6th year at Blake Manor. I have been working in the Manor Independent School District for a total of 13 years and have served as a Resource Pull Out Teacher, Behavior Support Teacher and District Behavior Specialist. I also taught Special Education in Austin ISD, Round Rock ISD and at the Universal American School in Kuwait. Prior to entering the education field, I worked as a case manager with various social service agencies.

As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, personal, social and emotional development of all students. I look forward to offering support to the Blake Manor students, staff, families and community. I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups during lunch, conducting classroom lessons, meeting with parents, collaborating with teachers and staff, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all Blake Manor students and families.

I am excited to be starting a new school year at Blake Manor Elementary and look forward to working with your son or daughter!
