Mrs Siave - Room 9

Talofa lava, my name is Mrs Siave and I’m super excited to begin my journey at Mangere Central School in 2023!

I will be teaching Years 3 & 4 and I’m excited for a fun-filled year of learning with my students and their whānau.

When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time with my aiga and friends. We have two young sons and most weekends involve rugby league, tag or soccer. We also enjoy camping and spending time in nature.

As your child’s teacher, I will support them to succeed in the education space and nurture their uniqueness to flourish as themselves.

If you would like to discuss any matter regarding your child, please visit or email me.

Jump onboard our waka as we sail the seas as a community of learners, all are welcome!

Miss Rejoice Falaniko - Room 10

Talofa lava,

My name is Rejoice Falaniko and I am a beginner teacher in the year 3 & 4 team.

I love music, travelling, food, and socialising with family and friends.

I believe that through learning and teaching, students will acquire essential tools, knowledge, and skills to build a successful future and become lifelong learners.

As a kaiako, I strive to provide a place where every child can discover their unique identity and be confident in who they are, through quality and passionate teaching.

To the students, parents and whanau of MCS:

I am so excited to meet you all and I am looking forward to what 2023 has in store for us.

Whaea Novena - Room 11

Talofa lava,

I am Novena Pio, a Samoan teacher, teaching the Year 3 & 4. This is my third year working at Mangere Central School. I really LOVE working here. I enjoy working with children and all teachers. I have been in the teaching profession for over two decades. Most of my teaching career was within the Samoan Bilingual Units. I  have been so privileged and benefit from working within these two learning and teaching environments.

I am the sixth girl of the nine girls with only one brother in the family. My father and two sisters have passed on. My dearest mother will be 94 this March, 2023. Love her so much. I don’t have any children of my own but I have many at MCS.  I love traveling and having fun. I also love people and meeting new people. I enjoy getting fit and eating healthy.

Miss Green - Room 8

Hi!

My name is Georgia Green and I am so excited to be beginning my journey as a kaiako at MCS with the year 3 & 4 team. I am originally from Australia but have called New Zealand my home for the past 8 years. When I'm not in the classroom I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, I also love being outdoors and spending time with my dog Sky!

As a kaiako, I believe that relationships come first and will strive to create a classroom environment where all tamariki feel safe to be themselves. Our classroom will be an engaging learning environment and always open to the whānau of the tamariki inside.

I can't wait to meet you all and begin our 2024 journey together.
