Recount writing - Term 4, 2021

Today we will be continuing with our VOCABULARY focus.

Have you got Level 3+ Vocabulary in your moment in time?

Today's focus: Writing Paragraph 2 and 3.

Why Dance?

INQUIRY - Why Dance? 9.45-10.30am

We will start with our whole school dance.

Then we will have a little refresh around our group dances with Room 1 today. (Room 3 are at the Art Room).

Next we will start to look at some moves for our Gumboots item.

A heads up - ALL UNIFORMS NEED TO BE SENT INTO SCHOOL IN A NAMED PLASTIC BAG BY THE END OF WEEK 2 SO THAT WE CAN MAKE SURE EVERYONE HAS WHAT THEY NEED AND START RECORDING IN WEEK 3.

To continue with our learning around schwa er saying the /u/ sound, you will make a wordfind using schwa er words that have the u sound at the end.

When you have finished save your word find and email it to me for printing.

Your word work focus for today is mb as /b/

First we will review sc as /s/ from our last session, then we will look at writing the /b/ sound with mb.

You will each need to choose one of the Moon Dog books and buddy read it to each other.


We will finish exploring the Miri and Raru text today and complete our follow up tasks.

Room 2 - you will all need to complete your group reading activity and the letter to the editor text.

Xavier and Ekam - You need to complete your Reading and StepsWeb.

What to do:

  1. Glue both pages into your LITERACY book.

  2. Read the two letter to the editor texts.

  3. Answer the questions about the text.

  4. Please hand your Literacy Book in for marking. (If we have time we will mark these together).

  • Continue with you moment in time writing.
