Welcome back!
Term Four starts today!
Let's make your last term at Mangapapa a good one!
Room Two are on Patrols this week.
Thanks to all our Room 2 Patrols for your efforts in keeping us all safe around the roads!
Today's ako/learning
Let's start our day with our MK Karakia and Pepeha
Through this we are meeting our te reo schoolwide progressions as we are able to;
Say and know the actions to the school blessing and/or karakia - He Honore
Say and know the actions to the school pepeha -Mangapapa Pepeha
We need to confirm our Class Jobs for Term Four.
Room 2 are also on bell this term, so we are needing one/two MKids who wear a watch who could be the bell monitor. This is a VERY IMPORTANT job!
LITERACY ~~~- Writing
LITERACY ~~~- Word Work
Today we are looking at the Soft C and Soft G sounds.
Let's review the 'igh' trigraph, then we will look at our new sounds.
Soft c (ce, ci, cy)
Soft g (ge, gi, gy)
Your word work focus for today is your Steps Web programme.
Choose one of the word work games to play to reinforce your learning.
Morning tea
We have our school Athletics in Week Three. To help train for this, we will meet on the big side straight after morning tea Mon-Thurs. Please wait on the court in a Room 2 class line. Each day we will be looking at a different Athletics event.
Today's focus: TRACK EVENTS/Running
If wet then we will continue with our Writing and Word Work during this time instead and arrange a catch up Athletics session for later in the week.
This term there will be a School Assembly each Monday. However as we are at Level 2, these will just be for MKids and Staff. No whanau will be able to attend.
Mr Sadler has cancelled today's Assembly, so we will have a dance session with Room 1 and 3 during this time instead.
Lunchtime

What to do:
Get your WORD WORK book and a pencil.
Watch the apostrophe video clip. (Please use headphones).
Carefully complete your handwriting. Make sure to read ALL the instructions (date, leave lines, two borders, rule off)
Remember to show KAIRANGI/Excellence.
Please hand your Word Work Book in for marking.
What to do:
Glue a copy of this page into your LITERACY book.
Read the text.
Complete the three activities (Do it to it, Something is missing, and I know, so I can infer...)
Please hand your Literacy Book in for marking.
Did you stay organised and manage your time effectively during our Reading/Literacy time?
Let's spin the wheel and find out.
Sit back and listen to the next installment of our novel, Grizzly Trap.
What might happen next? Will Sam be able to get help?
