 Spandana Classical Arts, founded in 2022 by Manaswini Sridhar.Spandana Classical Arts serves the Washington community as a UNESCO-recognized institution rooted in artistic excellence and cultural preservation. The institution offers an immersive environment where students don't just learn steps, but actively engage with an ancient artistic lineage. Our dancers have had an incredibly active year, sharing their art at local temples and collaborating widely with regional cultural organizations. Spandana Classical Arts is particularly proud of our students' recent performance at the prestigious CIPA’s Confluence Festival 2026, a showcase that beautifully reflected the dedication, discipline, and high caliber of training championed by the institution.

 About Manaswini Sridhar

Manaswini Sridhar is a distinguished classical arts educator, choreographer, and the visionary founder of Spandana Classical Arts, a UNESCO-recognized institution based in Washington. Guided from a young age by Guru Suma Mani, her artistic lineage is exceptionally rich, having advanced her training in Karanas under the mentorship of the legendary Padma Vibhushan Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam. An accomplished international performer and a coveted Doordarshan Graded Artist, Manaswini has graced prestigious stages across various countries, shared the spotlight in collaborative performances with the iconic Padmabhushan Shobana across India, USA, Europe,Dubai and demonstrated a masterful command over the intricate rhythmic art of Nattuvangam under the guidance of Hemanth Lakshman. Her brilliance has consistently earned stellar critical acclaim over the decades; her early prowess was recognized in India by The Hindu magazine in 2006, while her mature choreographic visions and contributions to the Pacific Northwest arts landscape were highly praised by Oregon ArtsWatch in 2023. Recipient of numerous awards and titles celebrating her dedication to the fine arts, Manaswini seamlessly bridges physical brilliance with profound cultural wisdom, inspiring her students to emerge as true global ambassadors of our heritage.
