E-AsTTle Writing Moderation

We get together across schools to moderate learner writing. Our aim is a consistency of testing and marking to ensure the validity of our data.

A Literacy Leader from each school attends the cluster moderation and then leads the moderation back in their school.

Process

See the Manaiakalani Policy and Procedures to guide you.

Add three (changed from 5) samples of marked work per attendee to this sheet before our moderation meeting. Here is a video of the process of linking your samples to the Sheet.

Ensure samples are shared so anyone can view them.

The rest of the writing tasks remain unmarked.

Literacy Leaders in each school will then lead the moderation for their school after the cluster moderation meeting.
