Direct Instruction
During this lesson the students created a DLO to showcase different elements of our school production.
Students explored various resources from the production on our hub site such as elements of the script, photos, videos and props that were used. With this information they then chose to create either a newspaper article, comic strip or use google drawings to create a scene from the production.
Reflection
It was good to create a video on a real life experience all of us shared. It enabled all students to access the task and they were able to talk to each other and share their experiences with each other easily. The curation of resources on the google site was also good - it helped to prompt their thinking for their reflections.
Next Steps
Next time I would like to spend more time on the blog post - it felt a bit last minute at the end of the lesson as we ran out of time creating the DLO’s. This was the main reflective part of the lesson and I feel I needed to give more time to it.
