COA Intro.movKia ora and welcome to my Manaiakalani Google Class On Air episodes for 2019. I am currently leading a Year 2 team, in an innovative learning environment at Pt England School in Auckland, New Zealand. I have been teaching since 2010, and have enjoyed the last 3 years working in a 1:1 iPad class.
As I work in a team of four classes, some of my lessons may be presented to the whole cohort, while others will take place in small-groups that share individual learning goals.

Term 1: The Pt England Way & Kia Pai Te Kotahi - Better Together
This term our initial focus is on establishing the strong expectations that we have within our school. We are also looking at Health and personal wellbeing, with our focus question being "How can I keep myself safe & join in at PES?"
Term 2: I Like Your Latitude
This term our focus is on positional language, directions and coding to take us from point A to point B.
Term 3: Something in the Water
This term our focus is on Science: The Living World, with our focus question "How do creatures live and survive in their natural environment?"
Term 4: Life's a Stage!
This term our focus is on drama and dance, with our team's focus question being: "How can I express my emotions through drama and dance?"
