Coursework Planning

Mamaroneck High School offers a rich curriculum which is constantly changing to meet the needs of our student body.  You can find descriptions of the wide array of academic offerings provided at MHS as well as our highly developed elective programs in the MHS Course Catalog Students meet with their counselors in the spring of each academic year to select courses for the following year.  We meet with our students individually in order to make sure each student’s planned program is appropriate for their needs and interests. 

Mamaroneck High School offers many advanced courses for our juniors and seniors. Tenth grade students and their parents are invited to MHS for an evening program which will discuss advanced academic offerings available for their junior year as well as other topics appropriate for the students as they approach their last two years at MHS.    Here you can access the presentation (English • Español) the handouts (English • Español) from the program:

Counselors work with students to make sure they are fulfilling the New York State Requirements for the High School Diploma.  The requirements can be complicated and they are updated often.  Feel free to reach out to your counselor with questions.
