Introducing Coach Brian Malone. In 2020, when Brian Malone took his first freelance gig, he did it from a place of necessity. His bank account was nearing $0, his teaching contract was up, and the pandemic was in full swing. He began building his first company, Malone Writing & Curriculum Services, and he continued freelancing part-time while launching his career in education & instructional design. Along the way, he started reading widely about personal finance and turned his money management into an automated system that supports him so that he never has to be where he was in 2020 again. While making a modest salary and implementing tried-and-true, reasonable strategies available to everyone, he was able to increase his net worth by about $20k in that first year alone, and he is on track to save his first $100,000 by 2026.
